Yes. We currently accept commercial and PPO plans through Horizon BCBS, Cigna (via Wildflower Health) and UnitedHealthcare or Aetna (via The Lactation Network). All coverage is dependent on your plan and eligibility confirmation.
Coverage for lactation services varies by insurance plan and network. Barb currently works with several insurance providers and networks that may include coverage for lactation support, including Cigna through Wildflower Health and Aetna or UnitedHealthcare through The Lactation Network. Eligibility and coverage are always plan-specific, so we recommend verifying your benefits before scheduling.
Not always. Occupational therapy and lactation services may be processed differently depending on your insurance plan and the type of care provided. Because Barb is both a pediatric occupational therapist and an IBCLC, your recommended care may involve one or both areas of expertise. Coverage will depend on your individual benefits.
No referral is required for services covered through Cigna or TLN.
Depending on the service type and location (in-home vs. office), certain visits may incur additional fees. All costs and expectations will be discussed transparently prior to booking.
We offer a flexible self-pay option and are happy to work with you directly. We can also provide a superbill upon request if you'd like to seek reimbursement through your insurance.
Yes, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are accepted for payment at the time of service.
